It's been over a year since our last blog post and there has been so much shown! Here we go!The next evolution of Spidey! This is a new 'classic' Spider-Man, and honestly, I'm very pleased with how it looks. We've sorta been needing SOMETHING different for a while now, and the Six Arm Spider-Man mold was NOT the right direction to move in. Thankfully, this seems really nice. I can only hope we see some other suits on this buck. I truly cannot wait to get this one in hand and pose it around. He comes with a second head (more squinted eyes.) Two fists, and two twhiping hands! Finally! We got a Peter Parker in civilian clothing! It's been a long time coming, but here it is! He has a VERY Ditko inspired head, and a WONDERFUL new camera mold. However, I'm not sure why the eyes are solid? This made it to the final so it's not a work in progress or anything. I'm sure someone will make a custom pair of glasses. He comes with a alt head ripped RIGHT out of the comic page, a split down the middle Spider-Sense head. I absolutely love it and cannot wait to display this guy with the rest of the collection right next to Stan Lee. And just for the fun of it, and because I plan on standing her right next to Peter. We have a Gwen Stacy! I personally love this head sculpt WAY more than the past Spider-Gwen sculpts we've been given in the past. She also comes with a Mary Jane head, but she already had her spot in the civilian clothing figure scene. And besides, I don't really see this outfit working for Mj. At most, if you don't want to display this figure with the Gwen head, you will have a MUCH better head for Spider-Gwen with a better expression. Overall, for this new retro wave. I think I'm finally going to cave and have a full set of MOC, and opened. I am beyond excited to see who else is in this wave (rumor has it it'll be Daredevil and Green Goblin. But, I hope that isn't the case.) Personally, I would LOVE to have a Spider-Armor Mk.1. It would fit the line, and we are missing Mk.1 and Mk.2 from our collections anyways. We already have Mk.3 & Mk.4 so it seems like a no brainer, but time will tell. And hell, if this wave sells well, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for there to be a second wave of Retro Spider-Man! We already had this guy once in the 3.75 line. And it works well, but this Retro line should give this guy his chance in the 6 inch spotlight!! I'm not very much into comics anymore, I wish I had more time to read them. But we're getting figures like this from them so, I will not complain! This is Venomized Miles, and holy shit. This figure looks amazing, I love the detail put into it, it just seems alive and unique. I feel like it will really pop on the shelf! Venomized Spider-Gwen! I think she's actually called 'Ghost Spider.' But I don't care what she is called, I am SUPER hyped for this figure, I have always loved the design of this figure and it just really works well in plastic form! Really excited to see who else is in this wave and if we can add anymore to the Spidey Shelf. The only other announced figure in this wave is a Venomized Captain America. But, I don't think I will be adding him to the shelf, or picking him up (unless the BAF is must have.) And that's it for Marvel Legends! A few pops have been announced since the last time we spoke. I hope I can get another post out soon showing off ALL the Spidey Pops! Thanks for reading, have a fantastic day! |
